Colorado's close call with Canadian smoke

 The first few frames of the visible satellite image reveal extensive wildfire smoke across the northern plains states.  Fortunately for Colorado, the bulk of the smoke should remain east of the state for the time being.  However, some hazy skies and light surface smoke will be possible today across the northern half of the state.  Significant health impacts are very unlikely, but if you are unusually sensitive to smoke you may want take it a bit slower today and keep your windows closed if you notice smoke in the area.
