Pockets of heavy smoke southeast of Red Feather Lakes

Heavy smoke has again been observed this morning in areas to the southeast of weekend burn operations at Red Feather Lakes. Please limit time outdoors in these areas, if possible. The good news is that smoke levels should drop dramatically by late morning with good air quality anticipated Tuesday afternoon. Additionally, smoke levels this morning are considerably less than at this time yesterday. So continued improvement is expected for the rest of this week.
